In the final chapter of his story, after being captured, blinded, and humiliated, Samson is brought into the temple of his captors. In a final act of revenge, he places his hands on the pillars of the structure and prays for strength one last time. Then, he collapses the temple on himself and everyone inside — killing both his enemies and himself.
